The Location: This holiday getaway is in the unspoiled Fingal Bay. Except for the township, most of Fingal Bay is included in the Tomaree National Park, which includes forested areas, coastal scrub land, beaches and most of the Fingal headland. Fingal Bay Beach is only 350m from the house, also two great eateries are right on the beach (Saltwater Restaurant and The Longboat CafĂ©). The Northern end of the beach forms a sand spit which at low tide allows guests to access Fingal Island where you can explore the ruins of the old lighthouse. The beautiful Shoal Bay is a short 2.5km drive offering boutique shops, restaurants and cafes. The township of Nelson Bay is approximately 5kms away.

The House: This two storey house makes the perfect venue for both a short and extended stay. The upstairs comprises of an open plan living area with desirable elevated water views, it has a comfortable lounge area which is fitted with carpet and a ceiling fan and offers a large wall mounted flat screen TV, DVD and Wifi (please note: the fire place is not functional). The dining area provides a large table and seating for 10 with a ceiling fan, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge freezer, oven/stove top and microwave. Also upstairs are two carpeted bedrooms (one king and one queen), both with ceiling fans and built in robes. A modern bathroom with glass shower is also provided. Al fresco dining is available on the spacious undercover balcony and fitted with outdoor furnishings and a BBQ and offers delightful water views of the bay and National Park.

There are two other bedrooms downstairs (one king and one queen) and a modern bathroom with shower with an adjoining laundry cupboard offering a top loading washing machine and dryer. There is ample onsite parking, including a boat bay.

Please note: The bedroom photos are in the process of being updated, the configuration is two king beds and two queen beds. There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

This property does NOT provide sheets or towels but can easily be supplied for an additional cost.

    House was in a great location, and we had a nice weekend, love that it had two parking areas and a nice view. However our experience was not ideal. The lien was not clean when we arrived, the soiled linen scatted all over the floor in the entrance of the house. After a call to the office, the clean linen took a few hrs to arrive. when we got into the house there were cockroaches and a massive huntsmen spider in the kitchen, we removed them. That night a storm came through and the shutter on the window sounded like it was going to come off the wall. This place needs a little maintenance to be a rental and for the price charged, frankly we expected a cleaner house.

    Very much enjoyed our stay. Great location with easy access to beach and playground for kids.
    House had all the good basics needed for an enjoyable stay.
